North Texas area NTTA

Anyone else here from the DFW area?

I hate being charged the same fee as a car for using the Express/toll/HOV lanes. To get reduced HOV rates you have to use an app or go onto a web site and tell them you are going to use the HOV lane and what vehicle you are using 15 minutes before.

If I'm on a bike why can't it be automatically added to their data base to permanently have reduced rates...

Preferably, bikes should be no charge at all, they aren't heavy enough to do any damage to the roadway.

Sounds like a solid position to me. And expecting motorcyclists to use an app or go to a website to provide information is a really stupid idea in my humble opinion. Texting while riding

Although I live in San Antonio, I'm in the DFW area frequently visiting my brother in Flower Mound and I believe your comments should apply to my Fiat Abarth as well. It weighs between 25% and 50% of what most SUVs weigh and therefore doesn't do anywhere near as much damage to the roads. On top of that, because it weighs so little and goes so fast it barely touches the ground in the first place!

Haven't quite managed that but the front end does get pretty light at full throttle with 18 inches of turbo boost. It may not fly but is it a major hoot! And being Italian I expect catastrophic failure some day at the most inopportune moment. Viva Italia!
