Moose on the loose
A "small" moose wandered onto an 8 lane commuter highway this morning during rush hour throwing traffic into gridlock.

I can appreciate the situation. Here in the central Maine woods moose on the roadway are too common. Can't figure out why moose don't cross the road where the "Moose Crossing" signs are.
Two years ago, on our second day at the summer home, I was returning from town when I came across two large moose in the road not a mile apart. When asked if I had seen any moose I said, "Yes, and I missed the first one." Took some folks way too much time to digest what I had said.
