Back on the bike for 5 mins and almost roadkill! Video

Doc said I could try to ride with the broken ankle. So of course I hopped right on to go to work.
Less than 5 mins into my ride this happens. Watch the PT Cruiser 2 cars in front of me.

I had my eye on him because the exit before this one, he darted over and back on quick.

Hah not so much, kind of a mild one to be honest. Just thought it was funny first 5 mins back on the bike after a week, and I get a reminder how much "fun" motorcycles can be.

WOW! That pick up truck was really paying attention and got stopped fast! Nashville traffic is just as bad. Horrible drivers. I like those gloves! What brand is that? Kinda looks like the Aerostich elkskin roper.

You will never see a motorcycle parked in front of a psychologist office!

Yeah the truck has ABS to thank for not picking PT off its grill.

The gloves are the old version of Oakley SI Assault Gloves. The new ones use a different wrist strap.

Who was the dumb ass in the PT?

What a moron. Could have very easily been a multi car fatal with you collected in the mayhem.

I think all drivers should be required to attend at least one high performance driving school sometime early in their driving career.

Glad you avoided the wreckage.

My girlfriend was just watching this for the first time and pointed out, that the White van appears to be hit in the slide.

Got to wait till I am at my house in the AM to pull up the rest of the video, I seem to remember the van being pulled off in the emergency lane. I wonder if it had a company name on it. I'm sure I have the PT lic plate number for them to file a hit and run.

I sent my boys to one after a year of driving. They practiced emergency maneuvers, sliding on a water course, and other cool stuff that I had to do in a snow covered mall parking lot to practice.

Y'all can have that kind of riding. I will enjoy my country lanes with curves and scenery. Just have to worry about tractors, deer, buzzards, and locals straightening the curves. I usually go 20 minutes without seeing another vehicle though.

Update He did hit the white van and proceeded to run, because the PT got off at the same freeway exit I did. It was OnTrac (UPS type thing) Called the 1800 number to report it they are calling the local shop and have the manager call me Monday to get the info.

You all need cameras.

My pulse rate went up just watching the video. I was predicting the PT to roll across into your lane!
