You just never know whats around the corner - or behind you. You need to be alert AND lucky on a bike.

Happened to me a week ago although speed of impact was less. http://www.kawasakiversys.com/forums...nt-damage.html Not sure if extra tail lights would have helped.

Sometimes people just drive too fast for conditions or don't pay attention. My feeling is that people causing accidents like that shown in the video, where there is no reasonable excuse, should have their license suspended for 6 months and need to reapply with testing.

That is absolutely terrifying. My father lost a friend who died on a bike by getting rear ended while at a stop light. Just goes to show you can never get complacent and need to always be aware of whats going on all around you. Stay safe everyone.
