Helmet test

This is a great read. Take the time to read the whole thing.

Man that is an eye opener. Sure wish I had read this prior to shelling out for an RF-1000. It may even be worth it to get another helmet like the Z1R. Thanks for finding this article.

Bob

Japanese scientists have created a camera with such a fast shutter speed they now can photograph a woman with her mouth shut.

I had a Z1R and sold it and bought a RF900 thinking it would be safer in a crash.

That originated as a two-part article in Motorcyclist magazine I think around 3 or 4 years ago. Caused quite a stink with the helmet manufacturers and the Snell foundation. Definitely an eye opener. Even after reading this (I have a copy in a binder on my desk) a few times, I still don't know if I could just buy a "bargain" helmet. But then again, I can be a picky person.

Is it strong enough for doing battle with bears and utility poles?

Steve

I bought a motorcycle because my wife said that I couldn't! Now I have two and she still says I can't have another one!

had to scrap the Shoei that hit the utilty pole but still wearing the one that hit the bear. The low side did more damage to it then the bear hit did. Ordered me a new Shark from a guy on Ebay that has discontiued stock left. It retailed for about 380.00 dollars and I got it for 100.00 shipped. That is the same way I bought my Shoei they came out with the RF1000 so the 900s were dropped. It was another 100.00 bargain.

Not bad... I'm glad I paid only $210 shipped and taxed from Ebay for my new comfortable, high quality RF1000 brain basher.
