Drug tests at work

Can you imagine the uproar if this caught on!

I have a job.

I work, they pay me.

I pay my taxes & the government
Distributes my taxes as it sees fit.

In order to get that pay cheque, in my case,
I am required to pass a random urine test
(with which I have no problem).

What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes
To people who don't have to pass a urine test.

So, here is my question:
Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a social welfare payment
Because I have to pass one to earn it for them?

Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet.
I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their ARSE
----doing drugs while I work.

Can you imagine how much money this country would save
If people had to pass a urine test to get welfare payment?

I guess we could call the program "URINE OR YOU'RE OUT"!

Pass this along if you agree or simply delete if you don't.
Hope you all will pass it along, though.
Something has to change in this country - AND SOON!

P.S. Just a thought, all politicians should have to pass a urine test too! IQ test might be in order as well !!!!

that's just crazy talk!!!
but it would be nice if we were held to the same standard and the politicians wouldn't pass laws that they are exempt from

NZ has a top heavy social welfare system and those people working low end jobs do not get much more than those sitting on welfare doing nothing but druging/drinking and i am not talking about those in real need.

you're not alone there
our system is getting played all the time
it galls me to see people paying with public aid for stuff I can't afford, dressed better, driving top tier vehicles, & it's no specific ethnic group.
on the flip side I know a fair number who are "sleeping rough"
the world's a crazy place to to fathom

Our system here should mean that you do not sleep in the street or go hungary but a small % slip through the cracks but thats more their choice of lifestyle as NZ is a social welfare state and our health system is still probably one of the cheapest in the world but we do not have the right to sue.

I tire of hereing the dems blame the reps and the other way around
liberals & conservatives are always throwing rocks at each other
the talking heads tell was what they think we want to hear
The whole time all this energy is being wasted too many people who aren't elected are making too many decisions under the table.
It seems to me that once any form of government reaches a given size corruption becomes too tempting

I'm pretty sure they either passed or tried to pass this in Florida. You wouldn't believe the uproar. How dare we ask those mooching off the rest of society to prove they are drug free.

I am always amazed(sadly) when I go grocery shopping and the person in front of me pays for food with their food stamps then whips out a wad of cash to pay for their alchohol and cigarettes.

In the US, the # of people on welfare is down 77% since the Republicans made a deal with then-President Clinton to end welfare as an entitlement. Unfortunately, food stamp entitlement (now actually a card like a credit card) has taken its place. Today there are roughly 1 in 6 USA occupants (citizens, non-citizens) on food entitlement programs - about 45 million people. Of course we also have plenty of other entitlements, credits, refunds, and discounts...but this is the main shift and why if you are waiting in line at the grocery store, it's likely someone in front of you is using a magic card that you're paying for.

Someday is not a day of the week.

'cause apparently it takes integrity and responsibility to work for a living these days. I sure wasn't raised to be a moocher. The kool-aid drinkers think entitlement is the way, but tell me, what happens if we all are in a row boat with a leak and only half are bailing water?
30% bailing water?
25% bailing water?
20% bailing water?
...?

I understand that there are some that can't bail water and genuinely need assistance, but such a high percentage? How long until common sense kicks in and the moochers realize they are bringing EVERYONE down? Can't the politicians see that selling welfare for votes is dreadfully evil? No, 'cause I figure to be a politician, you have sold your soul.

.
Life without GOD is like an unsharpened pencil...........
It has NO point

Over here that mind set is considred politically incorrect and frowned upon by our liberal elitist government. But thats probably why I agree with it. Either they pee in a cup for their welfare or I get to stop. I would prefer to stop all together. As long as I show up sober for work then it should be nobody's businiess what I do on my own time...
