has anybody heard of these? they look cool and yes they're pricy but I'd buy one (maybe)

I'd heard of Zero Motorcycles and got to see some of the models at the Barber Vintage Festival in Birmingham last October. Unfortunately, they didn't offer demos...dang. They're actually a decent sized motorcycle, as in large with good ground clearance. They seemed to zip around pretty good from what I could see. The big takeaway as I saw it was the huge billboard cases on the battery pack. That's just ugly imo. But then, I note that those are gone from the Zero DS shown in the link in the first post, which would be the current year equivalent to the model in the photo below. So maybe Zero got the word.

My local Kawasaki dealer is now carrying them. They seem to have good fit and finish but..... they sell for more than the Versys but are more comparable to a 125 to 250cc entry motorcycle. I'm just not sure who is going to spend $10,000 on one.
