What an idiot! Hydrolock bends connecting rods. Water in the crankcase, air box, electricals, wheel and suspension bearings, etc.. It's considered a write-off on a warranty claim.

I guess he thought his V-strom would skim across the surface like he had probably seen in cool videos. Maybe he should have bought the skid plate/ jet ski option.

Turning one of those upside down to get the water out would be a PITA.

Send a message via Yahoo to offcamber
The caption should be "hey Y'all watch this!!"

I have pulled my share of jeeps out of the water and was able to get them all running so the owner could drive it home. As long as the engine isn't damaged and its not salt water you can save it that with little damage.

Drain Oil, pull plugs, crank engine watch geyser water shoot from plug holes. spray all electrical with WD40.......drain fuel and replace with fresh...fresh oil....start it...if it runs let it run till it gets nice and warm....GTG

Nothing good ever happens after the words "hey ya'll watch this.." are spoken. Funny things maybe, but not good things...

You can see him hitting the starter to make sure the engine is well and truly full of water.......

I'm surprised he didn't drop it when he hit the water.
