we have exactly this machine in a different department.
that helmet is a trophy or something to put on a shelf, it should be really heavy

Machined from a 120kg (264 lbs) block of A7N01-T6 aluminum, 1:1 scale helmet weighs 3.6kg (7 lbs 14.72 ounces).

thats impressive...

I was always taken with those rapid prototyping machines, some of them could 'build' a complete assembly with the bolts that actually could be undone such were the tolerances on the machine.

Very impressive! Agree the individual who wrote the program to cnc that piece was very very talented....and close to insanity when done...wow!

Japanese scientists have created a camera with such a fast shutter speed they now can photograph a woman with her mouth shut.
