Anybody been to Blues Bikes and BBQ ?

Is it sportbike/non-cruiser friendly, or is it pretty much another HD ride-in ?

I like a good ride, but my harley buddies are really pushing me to go and I am seriously not looking forward to 3 days of staring at one type of bike.

I was hoping some of you guys in the south might have been up to Fayetteville, AR for this event and can report on it.

Is it worth the ride ? What can I expect ? Traffic control ok ? etc...

Take a look at their website.

Of course it's primarily Harley but it's friendly to all. Lots to see though and they have free bands. Got married there and the next time we went met Jesse James there. I don't spend my days at the rally, just ride the great roads all around there so it depends on what your buddies want to do when they get there.
I am sure the wife and I will be there again this year.

Hey Cetzel,

The wife & I work for Kawasaki with the demo rides around the country. For three years we worked the B,B & BBQ event and really enjoyed it due to the great riding in the evenings.

It is a big HD/cruiser event but sportbikes are welcomed, just not much there for them as far as vendors, rides, etc.

We always stayed at the Hampton Inn there in town and it was nice, may need to book early though as it's a big show.

Really good food & great music but being a sportbike guy, there wasn't much else there for me except the demos. Kawasaki didn't attend last year since our dealer meeting in Las Vegas caused a schedule conflict. I haven't checked our schedule to see if we are attending this year.

You may get bored if you're not (and it sounds like that) into the HD stuff.

Thanks for the replies! The buds said they wanted to do a lot of riding. Pig trails and such. Hopefully it'll be a great weekend of riding and music! I sure hope Kawasaki makes it to the event. I'd love to take a Concours14 out for a spin. Kawa was at Mid Ohio this past summer but it was rainy, I was in shorts and had a few beers, so I skipped the demo ride.

Bring some long pants & a helmet back to Mid-Ohio, we'll be there again this year.......our favorite event.

We'll have the Connies there again, just hold off on the beer until after the demos. ;-)

My wife Lydia will be one of the sign-up ladies and I'll be escorting again.
