Cyclone to hit Australia

East side of Australia is preparing for a cyclone with winds of 295kph, that's the speed of a busa.
http://www.nzherald.co.nz/world/news...ectid=10703715

Please prayers and thoughts to the Australians as they have been hit very hard lately with fires, floods and now this cyclone. My wife also has family in Queensland.

Believe it will be hitting land 2.5 hrs from this post, 11pm eastern Aust time

Comforting thing is that they knew in advance and can be prepared.

I once witnessed a close to 100km/h wind ant it was a bone-chilling experience.
300km/h?! My imagination doesn't want to go there.

Nature is a merciless bitch and we just called her fat to her face.

Best of luck to them.

Cheers for that Ivan, a good link to follow the cyclone or hurricane, depends on where you live what you call it. But whatever you call it a level 5 is a monster, did read somewhere that it was the size of the USA, maybe that was when it was out to sea.

Garage
This shows just how big it was\\The storm front was 400 miles / 650 km wide!

http://www.nzherald.co.nz/world/news...lery_id=116528

Yes it is from a NZ paper.

The latest reports talk of no deaths or serious injuries because of the precautions taken

One town of 3,500 people - Tully has lost 1 in 3 houses.

Although I have had Miss Jaffa (Burnt Orange 2007 Versys) for a while, I still have a lot to learn.
