Only one I've ridden is Denali Highway, Alaska. I would NOT include it in any list of "BEST ROADS", and I've ridden a few....

It was rough, narrow and not particularly scenic, and we were on KLRs! Summer of '09.

"Top of the World" and the Dempster Highway FAR outclass it, as does California 299 from Eureka to Redding, and ANY number of Arizona roads, and the "Icefields Parkway" between Jasper and Banff in Alberta.

The list is only one person opinion and I'm sure would vary from person to person who has road most of the major bike rides around the world.

This guy on the KLR cracks me up like he has never seen snow and ice.

If any one comes to NZ you have to ride through the homer tunnel and down the sharp switch backs, when my wife and me did it early in year we both had sun glasses on and could not see a thing going through tunnel and had cars up or butt so could not stop but it was fun.

I have only been over here for 3 1/2 years, but it seemed strange "riding on the wrong side of the road"

The last time I was in Milford was 1981.

Although I have had Miss Jaffa (Burnt Orange 2007 Versys) for a while, I still have a lot to learn.
