Or downloading?

I hated the 'Prologue' so I'm not yet sure if I'm going to play it.
I much more enjoy Codemasters' games like Dirt 1&2, Grid and now F1.

Yup, I not a big fan of Prologue either.
NFS Shift is fun, but too many crashers there.
A guy from Croatia got his a few days ago, and posting impressions
on GT Planet. Looks awesome.
I have mine on pre-order, supposed to be here Wednesday.

So far, I like it a lot.
I use a LogiTech G27 wheel.
While I no longer road race, it's fun using GT5 as a simulator.
There a plenty of things to complain about, but all and all,
for it's price, it can't be beat.

How would you compare the feel for the car with the Prologue?

I also play on G25, but Prologue felt very weird to me. If this game wasn't universally considered the best driving simulation I would say it was unrealistic. Not very entertaining anyway.

I probably wont stay away once I complete the F1.

+1 on the Codemasters. Not as good graphics, but better car action.

I bought the wheel in the beginning of this summer.
Mainly for NFS Shift.
It took me a long time to get used to it.
I eventually was able to match my pad times, but not beat them.
Along comes the actual release date for GT5.
So I pop in Prologue to get used to Polyphony's physics.
Could not get the paddles to work, and I'm not good with the H pattern.
Got sick of it fast.
Then I popped in F1 Championship Edition.
I liked it way better than Prologue.
Now comes GT5.
Better than both, by a long shot, but not better than I-Racing.
You get what you pay for, and I'm not paying for that !
The physics out way some of the crap Kaz built into the game.
PIA to get cars without going through all the typical GT bs.
So I let my B-Spec driver make all my credits, while I sleep or do
something productive.

The full version of GT5 is far superior to Prologue, which I also disliked. GT has always been about the driving dynamics, which are fantastic. It seems like they spent a lot of time tweaking how cars behave in a slide; drifts are much easier than before to control and maintain, though I haven't played with any of the drift events. But they still haven't fixed the bonehead driver AI (which I thought they'd promised), load times are irritatingly long, you can only change wheels on "Premium" cars, and a bunch of other stuff that I though was good about previous titles is changed or missing. At least they brought back the (non-scrolling) descriptions of cars. I've missed that since GT2.
