Jacket a lil big

Been doing much more jogging over the last several months. Come to realize that my favorite Bilt Jacket now has thew shoulder pads hanging about 2 inches below my shoulder. Didn't notice it until I took my liner out for warmer weather.. with the liner in, it takes up enough space to keep it in place, but I have lost a fair amount of shoulder mass and arm mass etc.. I hate to go spend money on a new jacket when this one has a ton of life left in it and its well worn and comfy, but at the same time I am aware that if I am in an accident with it on, I will not benefit fully from the protection it has to offer... Has anyone had any luck ever getting something like this re fitted, taken to a seamstress or something? Surely Im not the only one who has had this experience? I have another jacket that fits much better, but its a l little too well worn..SUppose I could just eat a few burgers and pizza a bit more often?

A good tailor could take the jacket in and make it fit better but it might be cheaper to just buy another jacket. Tailoring is not cheap. It cost me a bit over $50 just to get a set of chaps taken in a bit.

Congrats on the weight loss. I wouldn't bother trying to have a jacket altered, as mentioned before, because of the cost. I think I would celebrate the weight loss with a new jacket that fits better.

I don't care what you ride, just ride.
