aerial shot of my house

Had a guy just come to the door with pic's they took while flying a small plane around, they leave a couple of samples for you to look at then come back and see if they can sale you the big expensive framed version, thought i would just scan the image for fun and share with all my friends.

My house is the one in foreground to the right, we are just a small 3 acre block. At the top is the sea on the east coast of NZ, the other side of the pacific from you guys in the states. Phil

Did you tell him you fly and take your own pictures? Looks nice there, envious of you living so close to the ocean. I am landlocked here in "center" America.

As you know NZ is very narrow so it does take that long to travel from east coast to west. Looking the opposite direction from that shot you look toward southern alps.

Yes element you might be landlocked but you can potentially ride from top of north america to bottom of south and ride through numerous countries where as i would have to ship my bike at great expense or fly out and hire a bike to be able to ride in different countries so i envy you in the fact the vast area you can ride if you wanted to.

Your 3 acre block is right to the left of the acute right angle corner of the shingle driveway, its only the very left of the pic and in the bottem 3rd down of pic. That is on the first pic!

here is a more close up view, you may see me standing in the doorway of my external garage. My ute parked on lawn as was about to spread some compost on garden to keep my lovely wife happy, get all those jobs on my days off.

Hey Phil, that's a very lovely house.

I cleared and cropped your pictures a little if you don't mind.

Cheers.

Looks like a beautiful spread, Phil. Also looks like you have room for several tents out back and a good many motorcycles on the driveway. Just food for thought.

Might be a good time to put some chlorine in that rectangular swimming pool along your right-hand fence, and maybe change the filter. It's looking like the color of mud!

Seriously, it looks like a wonderful home base. If only I could fed-x my V there cheaply. heh....

Someday is not a day of the week.

That rectangular mudding pool was the farmers tree block but that have just sold in and the new owner are going to use it for what we call dairy run off. It took them one day to cut all the tree's down, they will clean it up and plant in grass or maybe a winter crop.

Always plenty of room motorcycles and their riders, the garage at the back has good room for working on bikes with a big L shaped wooden workbench (previous owner built from new and was a engineer) but quite a mechanical myself so i shoved a pool table/dart board in there as well.

We are not big on livestock, now 4 sheep, one midget pony thing, a real horse and a dog. Come over for a bbq but only allowed to eat the sheep.

Wow. Very nice piece of land... What are the large grey areas out on the right, which are pretty much the color of your driveway?

I think your talking about worked up paddocks (its all dirt), that just had fertiliser applied couple of week ago and have be sown in grass, looking out today can notice a slight green tinge. The real dark area to right is quite a steep drop and was a tree block, if pic was taking 3 week ago that block would been full of trees, making way for dairy cows now.

Haha, the Timaru international airport is 5 km to the left, telling porkies its not international and you can't get confused there as it has only one boarding gate. it actually cheaper to drive 100 mile north to christchurch and fly out from there.
