Allergies

Does anyone have ridiculous allergies like I do that prevent them from riding? I want to ride, but my effin nose dribbling and sneezing is a distraction in this unreal ragweed season!

I feel your pain, luckily for me Claritin does not make me drowsy. So it's Claritin in the morning, and a benadryl at night. The arthritis in my hands is more aggravating for me than my allergies.

Claritin is non-prescription, correct? I should try that.

Claritin and a full-face helmet works for me.

Well just dose up, and enjoy riding, I take a Claritin, with a Chloretrimeton and benadryl chaser. Just got finished with 4 days of riding in AR where the temps were awesome and was very low humidity.

What about some of the herbal stuff, like echinacea?

You can help make Clem a household name

Nose dripping

I have suffered all my life with this, I am 59 years young. I use Alka-Selter Plus for colds. Take with luke warm water. Also I carry a small bottle of nasal spray (saline solution). I use it before I start and during the ride. Works great after cutting the grass too.

Usually, echinacea is not recomeded for people who have this kind of allergies (hay fever, cats, dog ... all those that get your eyes and nose running)

And claritin and all those "new" generation of antihistamine are very good

Benadryl will induce drowsiness, so do almost all "old school" medication
