On a much lighter note,

Hurricane Matthew stands a good chance of landing in the lap of the Outer Banks of N.C., where My Versys and I reside(oh yeah, my wife lives here too ) I'm getting ready, preparing for the worst hoping for the best. Anyone have some waterwings?

Batten the hatches brother it's looking like it will be in your neck of the woods by Thursday. Hopefully the wind will settle down by then. Good luck..

Hang in there buddy. Understand completely what you're keeping an eye out for. Used to live in Norfolk, VA. Got hammered by Isabell and every damn nor'easter that came through. In Chicago now but still keep an eye on weather and friends in Tidewater. No more flood insurance cost/worries...just tornados and flying bullets

Good Luck Man! Growing up and living in South Louisiana I've weathered my share, gets to be a way of life. I've got a buddy that I bought a bike from some years ago in Shallotte. He's right on the coast looking out to the islands, he's getting buttoned up. Hopefully it will loose some punch or steer farther out.

Thanks for the kind words.....will keep you posted. This is not my first blow but each one brings stress. We had five feet of salt water during Irene but the house is up five and a half feet...whew!

Be safe! I love OBX, particularly Hatteras Island where you are; I try to get down there every couple of years.
