My Barn Find...Well Almost
I rode out to my dealership yesterday to get some oil filters and order a service manual. The counter was busy when I walked in so I just walked around looking at stuff. This place has been in business 50 years and they have some really cool 70's and 80's bike ad posters on the walls and other old nostalgic items. In the corner I saw a turn table book rack and low and behold it was all old Clymer manuals for Honda and Kawasaki bikes of the 60's, 70's and 80's. They had all the bikes I dreamed of as a kid and ones when I started riding at 13. They had all the old CB's, XL's, XR's, VFR Interceptor, Hurricane, KD's, KX's, H1's, H2's, GPZ's, LTD's and even the first Ninja's. They had one I had to buy, early 80's Kawasaki 1000 & 1100cc 4's. Those were the first I4's I ever rode and worked on. I felt like I went back in time for a minute. The owner ask me "What are you gonna do with that?". I made him laugh when I said "Some people read novels, I read motorcycle manuals".

Are you familiar with the Zephyr 750's made in the 1990's I believe. A guy I know who remakes CBX's bought one at a show recently, and is rebuilding it currently, and is ttrying to talk me into getting this to keep my V company. I think he said this one was a shaft bike, but he is converting it to chain driven.
