Moto movies -- your favorites?

So the weather’s getting less and less friendly, and some of us become more likely to spend time inside instead of riding. The next best thing is watching a great moto movie, but let’s get beyond Long Way Down and Long Way Round – they’re great, but we’ve all seen them.

What’s one of your favorite moto movies?

Had the good fortune awhile back to meet Gaurav Jani, who filmed two documentaries: One Crazy Ride and Riding Solo to the Top of the World. If you want to read a little more about the screening we hosted of One Crazy Ride, you can read about it over on our AltRider Story blog.

No Video.

Both One Crazy Ride and Riding Solo to the Top of the World are great videos I’d recommend. What about you – what do you suggest we see?

The family got me wild hoggs for one fathers day and still have a belly laugh every time I watch it, maybe because most of us can relate to somthing in that movie.

Little Fauss and Big Halsy, Robert Redford, Michael J. Pollard

Sidecar Racers, very obscure, with guest appearance by Peter Graves. The finale with the destruction of the VW microbus will make you cry.

I forgot about Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man, love that movie. One of my all time favorite movie would have to be "Worlds Fastest Indian" and for tv would have to be Sons of Anarchy.

Talking On Any Sunday

Gotta be On Any Sunday....This movie started me on the road to motorcycle madness!

Japanese scientists have created a camera with such a fast shutter speed they now can photograph a woman with her mouth shut.

I remember a black bike in James Bond "Never Say Never Again".
I think that was the first time I saw a wheelie. I was a teen then. Woo Hoo...

Born losers, the first Billy Jack movie. IIRC, there is a beautiful blue Yamaha with a white seat (girlie bike) in this movie.

The Wild Ones, Marlon Brando, Lee Marvin

And you can't forget Tron.

The Rebel Rousers, Hell's Angels on Wheels, Jack Nicholson at his best?

This is a great thread, I'll agree, "On Any Sunday" and "The World's Fastest Indian" are two of the best motorcycle movies of all times, djg really jogged my mind with "Little Fauss & Big Halsy" what a great movie.
I'll add "Roadside Prophets", a road story, a lot of it was filmed in Northern Nevada, you guys that have ridden there will recognise a lot of the roads and scenery. This movie is somewhat obscure, it stars John Doe and Adam Horovitz. Arlo Guthrie and Timothy Leary also are in this film, It's one of my favorites, it's worth watching if you can find it.

Here is another one, "Chopper Chicks From Zombietown", a cinematic masterpiece starring Billy Bob Thornton. Seriously, the best thing about this movie is that you can watch it for free on youtube!

And DON'T forget ... "Lyle Swann - Timerider" (I believe that's spelled right but ...). Guy on a Honda XR350 is out desert riding and goes through a scientific experiment which sends him back to the 1880s. In it he becomes his own granddad....
