It's a no-clutch bike Sylvie, it's 3 semi automatic gears, & if you don't reduce the throttle every time you change up or into a gear it'll actually shoot out from beneath you!!!!

My dads boss would invite us to his house to swim when my brother and myself were visiting my dad in Texas while on summer vacation from school. His son had a Z50 and let us ride it. When my dad saw how much fun we had on it he bought us one to share for riding around the neighborhood. Then we went back to our moms in MO he bought me a bigger bike the Z50 fit my brother better. We rode it all over the woods then came home one day to the garage and the Z50 was missing. We had let the neighbors grandson ride it when him and his parents left to go back to where they lived the father of the kid stole the Z50. The grandparents told us that their son took it for his boy. My dad didn't want to cause our neighbors any grief because they were old and had been through a lot with their son. So my dad bought my brother a new bike and got us both a big chain and lock too. I believe it was a 1970 or 71 Blue Z50 great little bike.
