New Versys owner in San Francisco

Hi all.

Just picked up a 2009 Versys to replace the starter bike I had for *way* too long (1986 Yamaha Radian). Love the Versys!

I'm a tall rider (6'3") so looking to make some mods. I just received the peg lowering blocks (yet to install). Thinking of getting a touring windscreen as well.

Cheers,
Ken

6'2" and a Givi/Stock combo worked best for me....Had a Tall Parabellum which worked well but boy did it shake a lot from the wind....

I'm working on amassing a contact list of SF Bay Area riders. Plan some rides, maybe camping...

Let me know if you need help with anything. I've got tools and a garage...

Thanks BailyMan, and thanks all for the welcome!

weljo2001 - thanks for the tip on the windshield. I was looking at the tall Parabellum, because I read some good things about it on this forum, but perhaps I'll avoid it if it shakes a lot. Is this the Givi model you have? http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/g...iqAaAp1y8P8HAQ

In other news, just lowered the pegs... makes a huge difference!
