Just waiting for it to get here

Hello form Portland Oregon, home of expensive coffee, more breweries than most countries and more strip clubs than any other city in america! (that last one may not be true, I read it somewhere)

I am waiting for my 2015 Versys 650LT in green to arrive at the dealership and can barely contain myself! The temptation to pre-order Farkle is near impossible to resist.

I have narrowed the list to radiator protection for now but I really want a rear fender eliminator kit that I am sure will work with the factory bags.

Anyone install a fender kit on a 2015 LT yet? Love to hear about it.

Oh yea, the horn. Gotta get a different horn too.

Clifford

Harbor-Freight WOLO Bad Boy for the horn; engine crash-guards and hand-guards are my suggestion for FIRST farkles.

Same bike here, waiting in Seattle. Dealership says their warehouse people checked again today and it is sitting in a shipping container in the port of Seattle where it has been stuck for two weeks. I think they are trying to put a good face on the port slow down no longer being an issue, but it sounds like people up and down the West Coast are still having a lot of trouble with motorcycle deliveries.

Do you mount that horn in the stock location? I have to say that I am not fond of the horn location on the gen 3, looks like they forgot it and threw it on later. Also does that Wolo require a different relay?

I mistakenly used the "Q-Reply" button thinking that it meant quote reply.

I'm pretty sure the province of Quebec has more strip clubs, and Catholic churches, (not sure of the correlation) per capita than any other place in North America. It's a French thing.

I mounted the horn up under the left fairing, and used the included relay. Here are some pics (the Stebel is now replaced by a WOLO after it 'died'):
Here's where I mounted it

and here's a detail showing some hi-density foam I used to protect the tank

detail of the wiring (that's the relay w/ yellow & red wires)

and here's the stuff I put onto the tank to protect the paint...

and - finished - ONLY the fairing to re-install)!

Welcome
I don't have the LT but the 2015 base model fun bike so far.
Must say a lot less vibes from it my 2011 model.

For the fender eliminator
Things are coming out slowly
Here is Some

more accessories

I moved my storm hand guards over to the 2015
had to trim off 1/2 inch off the sand off posts. So they would not hit the fairings and also give a little extra room for my power port.

Mounted My piaa led lights on the lower fork tubes.

Will Be looking in the harbor freight horn soon as well

I am tall so I shimmed my wind shield stand a little. so the wind screen would tilt forward a Little bit extra. till I get a taller wind screen.

I am probably the first person to own a used 2015

I have not seen any engine cages as of yet.
