Thumbs up Hi from Israel

Hi
Well, I am happy to join this forum having this kind of motorcycle.
I one the 2015 Gen.2 Versys 650.
The 2010-2014 kind of bike.

In the past, I had:
TGB 202T 125cc for 15,000 Km
Honda cb250 for 42,000 Km
Kawasaki GPZ500S for 103,000 Km

And... I am a little worid about the valve problem this kind of bike has.

Welcome from North America (Canada). With all the Versys owners on this forum, valve issues are pretty much unheard off. I would imagine if oil and filter are changed as indicated in the user manual (10,000km/6000miles with synthetic oil) and valve adjustments are also done as prescribed, there should not normally be any issues with the valves. The only other thing that might effect valve life negatively is over revving the engine. Heavier oils like 20W/50 or 15W/50 seem to work better in climates that are consistently hot, again see the user manual or service manual for more information.

You can download the factory service manual in PDF format for this bike in the Tech Section of this site. The 2010+ manual is also there but further down the page.

Well, bikes with about 70,000 Km tend to brake the exaust valve, KAW 12005-0707.
The repare for it would be installing the KAW 12005-0742 valve.
You can read about the local dealer in Malezia making a good will recall.
