First bike was to learn on, Honda Rebel, small I know. But I would much rather learn on/fall over with/dump an $1800 bike than a brand new Versys. It was really the best thing I could have done. The MSF course had me riding essentially the same Rebel, awesome to learn on. It also gave me a perspective and allowed me to appreciate the increase in power and fun to ride feeling that the Versys offers. I was originally going to buy a cruiser style bike (Honda Shadow). But I knew if I bought that, I would have forever labelled myself a cruiser. Being only 37, I knew I was too young to tether my younger inner self. I can still always go to a cruiser, later... For now, I will have much more fun in the twisties!

You made a good choice, of course you could get the shadow for a second bike

If I new what I was doing, I wouldn't still be working

Or you would be like a work college in AB that is looking to sell his cruiser for a Versys or V-Strom

Although I have had Miss Jaffa (Burnt Orange 2007 Versys) for a while, I still have a lot to learn.
