New Blue 09 in Seattle

Coming from a Honda ST1300 (sold) and selling a 2007 KLR650 with lots of farkles. Just signed on the dotted line for what should hopefully get me out of town a little better than the KLR. Still looking for logging road camping but I never really went off road.

Starting with heated grips and the taller windshield. Adding BMW power outlet. Hard wire my Garmin 2730 and transfer the PIAA 510's off the KLR if it has the electrical power to push them. KLR definitely did not.

For the price I think coming off 17k miles on a KLR the 2009 vibes should not be a problem.

Hope to see you out there. I may need to change my user name now. Hope to pick it up this PM.

Dan

Welcome

from one of many riders here on the Wet Coast

I hope to ride to Seattle over the Summer

Although I have had Miss Jaffa (Burnt Orange 2007 Versys) for a while, I still have a lot to learn.

Lipstickpig, welcome.

Great minds think alike! I sold my Honda ST1300, that I hated, wobbled above about 55mph. Kept my KLR650 and got the Versys. Versys has over 25miles on it and I wasn't riding the KLR at all-so sold that as well.

I do logging roads and basic forest roads on the Versys no trouble.

If weather holds, I'm going to be doing some of the Ghost towns in Oregon next week and that will include some mild off road stuff.
