introduction

Hello all, Don't have a Versys yet but have been looking at getting one. Thought I'd introduce myself since I'll be poking around on here to get more details and information on the Versys, before I buy one. I really like the looks of the 2010 Versys, I currently ride a Honda VTX, been wanting to get back into the more sport oriented bikes like the Versys. I started out on a 250 ninja and loved the bike and the sound of a parallel twin, I got hocked on the cruiser thing when the opportunity came up to purchase my current bike that I could not let pass me by. I love the VTX, it's louder and meaner than most harleys but lacks handling on the ribbon. I hope that maybe this year but for sure next year to have a street bike like the Versys.

Versys - the Anti-Cruiser

Hey Papasmurf,

I had a VTX 1300 spoked retro for a while myself, before buying my Versys. The VTX is a bike I regret selling actually, but health reasons at the time forced me into that decision. Now that I'm all healed up again, I really like my Versys too. It's a great bike for ripping around the countryside in the area where I live. A lot of people see it as either a dualsport, a light touring machine, or a hooligan bike, but I see it as a good combination of all three.

Just to be on the safe side though, you may want to drive one before you buy one. They're not for everyone. The throttle can be a little snatchy, the suspension a little jarring, and some people find the vibration and rather severe engine-braking to be a handful at time. Good luck!

anything on two wheels is a bike, but to be versatile on two wheels you need a VERSYS.

See you soon and safe ride.
