Just bought a new '09

I just bought a 2009 Versys in green. I pick it up next Saturday. I'm pretty happy about my purchase. Great deals to be had on the left-overs out there. I think the dealers want to move them before the 2010's come in.

Congrats! Whatever you paid is a good deal because it's so much fun! Just got back from an hour ride before our next dose of rain here in Atlanta. I'm letting the bike cool a bit and then I'm doing my first oil change.

I think they want to move whatever is on the floor. I read in another thread that some members heard that their dealers didn't get any 2010 Versys models and the allocation is sold out for this year. Don't know if it's true, but my dealer didn't have one.

Be safe.

Garage
Welcome

I hope the weather is nice when you take delivery so that you can take the long way home.

Although I have had Miss Jaffa (Burnt Orange 2007 Versys) for a while, I still have a lot to learn.

Thanks, guys! I'm pretty happy about the new bike. It's still in the crate, too. I got a couple nice discounts and 1st service thrown in, too. I'm just counting down the days till next Saturday AM when I can collect it!!! Good weather or not, I'll be on it (unless it's snowing!)

I have a Stebel that gets migrated from one bike to the next. It's nice and loud. Although, I've found a slightly louder exhaust also helps. :-)

Awesome. I bought mine yesterday too! It was on the showroom floor so I got to ride it home. Most fun I have ever had riding back to the house!

I shopping around the area for the same exact bike, so far I'm getting quotes of 7,000.00 OTD, this includes taxes, title tags, everything, does this sound about right, I live in PA and I think the prices here are inflated somewhat. Any info would be appreciated.

First of all congrats to lifesanocean. I too will be picking up my new green 09 this week (on thursday).

howyadoin, I would recommend maybe a drive to the center part of the state. I got a quote from Bedford Motorsports of $6410 OTD, and from Hanover Power Sports of $6350 OTD (in response to Bedford). Hanover only had blue, so I paid $50 extra and got mine for $6400 OTD from Pat and Son Service Center.

Deals are to be had. Actually check out Cycle World of Cherry Hill, NJ. That is closer to you. They have had a blue one on ebay for quite a while. From them it was $6088 OTD, but you would have to add PA state tax and registration. Still would be less than $7000.

Also Pat and Son told me that they won't be getting any '10s because they are sold out, and they didn't order early enough. That goes along with what others have been told as well.
