Suggested Versys Mods/Farkles

Tuesday evening there will be a new Versys in the garage. I know very little about this bike, but the price was right and it was comfortable. What are the must have mods / farkles for the Versys? This bike will be primarily used for weekend sport touring, 2 up. I currently ride a Triumph Trophy which I am keeping for the longer hauls. Any guidance is appreciated.

First thing- check and shim engine mounting tabs to prevent frame cracking. Should be done at zero miles. Next go to mototuneusa.com , Motoman, and break bike in that way. Important to do it before you hit 20 miles on bike. Also, change oil and filter per Motoman at 20 miles. It won't sound dumb when you see how much metal is in the oil. You have only one chance to do it right. Next- Have Fun.

Congratulations, you will love it. I am on the second one, I hastily sold the first thinking there was a better all around choice. Well I have been proven wrong, this bike is just too much fun, economical and simple maintenance. Cant ask for anything else in a great handling bike.

Congratulations, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Engine guards are a great investment. Many like the HB ones. I have them and am happy with them. May even have lightly scratched one.... ;-P

A comfortable aftermarket seat and mirror wideners for safety. Those were first on my personal Versys list.

Click the link in my signature....ATGATT. Spent more in safety gear than this bike is costing me.
