Wink Newbie from NYC

Hi all. Just got myself a brand new 2014 abs versys 650. so much to learn about this bike, but I have already logged 200 miles in a week (with a full time job and overnight shifts to boot.) Would love some advice on winter riding and storage options, and what farkles to get. So far, I have the vps barkbusters, gipro gear indicator, givi trekker outbacks, givi e52 maxia, stebel nautilus, and denali d4 lights. any others that "I need" to get?

Sounds like you have a good start on modding your V. Yeah, heated grips are nice to have on the chilly days. Also depending on how long you ride, a better seat would be in order as well. The stock seat leaves A LOT to be desired. I happen to have a Terry Adcock seat for sale if you are interested in upgrading. As said already, engine guards or frame sliders would be a good investment.
What part of the "City' are you in? My brother's wife's mom lives in Yonkers. We grew up in Upstate near Saratoga..

Some sort of 'crash-bars' (I use SW-Motech), and hand-guards (Zeta XC's here) for WHEN your V falls over.

For storage, look into Rising Wolf Garage. Not sure where in the city they are. Motorcycle only.

@AlaskaJeff. Brooklyn here, with lots of overnight stays in Queens.
how much do you want for that seat?
@weljo2001- thanx man. Your farkles list made me feel inadequate lol
@fasteddiecopeman- are they a PITA to install? I have two left hands when it comes to these things.

Try the SEARCH function. I know I posted up about changing to the SW-Motechs (from H-Bs), so I might have started a thread, or just added to someone else's. (Here's a thread when I added a skid-plate:

PITA...? Certainly a "bit of work", but reversing one of the bolts makes it happen easier.
