Hello

I really like the Versys and own 2 other twins, a Triumph Speedmaster, and a 70 BSA 650 Lightning.

I'd really like some info on how owners like the Versys.

I also ride a Goldwing but also enjoy my Triumph, which is a 800.

Love twins,

cat

Hi Cat

One of the best discussions is Worst Part of the Versys? This shows you that there are a few minor hassles, but nothing major with the bike, and the main complaints (twisting mirrors and instument vibration) can be cured with a bit of time and effort, and not many $'s.

I hope to see you on the Motorcycle of the Year 2008 fairly soon.

Although I have had Miss Jaffa (Burnt Orange 2007 Versys) for a while, I still have a lot to learn.

Cat,
Whats going on, I am new to the forum as well. I am a big fan of twins as well. I ride up in Wisconsin and Michigan, though I live in Chicago. I am currently making a map of routes that are posted by riders all over the world, so if you have a good route and want to share it with the motorcycle community please post it at allstate insurance route or allstate insurance moto. I am an affiliate of allstate and thus I am using their web pages for this. Thanks

David

The driftless area of Wisconsin is a great place to ride. I don't have a route map for you - because just about all the "minor roads" are fantastic. Where is this? The area is bounded by the following lines: if you draw a line from just west of Madison (say Cross Plains, WI), west to Prairie du Chien, north to La Crosse, east to Tomah, then southeast back to Cross Plains. That's the Driftless Area - land untouched by the last wave of glaciers.

A little closer to Chicago is the "Scenic Kettle Moraine Drive". It's just west of Milwaukee, WI. It's 115 miles of scenic rolling twisty roads (from Whitewater, WI to Elkhart Lake, WI.). I ride the northern half of it quite often, and can easliy spend the whole day riding it. See the links below for the route.
