best way to install highway pegs

Sorry if this has been answered, but I am posting for the first time. I would love to stretch my legs and want to install highway pegs on my 08. Should I invest on a crash bar and buy pegs to fit the tubing, or is there a better (yet still safe) option?

speedy pegs

buy the motowerks speedy hywaypeg mounts,

can't be beat.

just don't cheap out on the pegs themselves (have to be added ),
cheapies like these:

bend after a short while, so buy some good solid h/d type like these:

and in a light lay-over, they will afford some basic protection too.
