4 day Versys Dual Sport ride along side a KTM 1190

First, a big thank you to the Versys community for all of the resources and information I was able to glean as I prepped my bike.

Over the Fourth of July weekend I rode along side my buddy on his KTM 1190 through the U.P. of Michigan, Northern Wisconsin and Northern MN.

I built up my Versys as a budget gravel bike, total cost <$6k

While the KTM certainly could have left me behind in several instances, I rarely felt as though I could not keep pace other than on some particularly greasy mud covered, dirt roads that the Kenda K761 (rear on front) wanted to push through and slide out. (I'll be trying the Conti TKC 80 in oem size before upgrading to a 19" front wheel.)

Here is a link to the ride report and some photos.

thanks again

Great photos and report! Thanks for cross-posting here.

FWIW, I'm really liking the TKC80 up front.

Cheers, Jeff
