Versys MPG?

I'm looking at a 2012 Versys. My hero was the tortoise not the hare. For someone who rides only on road, within the speed limit, with only moderate acceleration, what mpg should one expect? Thanks.

I would say around 50 MPG. If MPG is your biggest concern you might want to look at the wimpy Honda 700X. It is supposed to get 64 MPG, but you have to check the valves more often and it has wimpy suspension.

I also have averaged very close to 50 mpg in a little over a year and 5500 miles of riding, mostly on back roads including a few longer trips. No changes to stock gearing.

I have kept track of my mileage since I got the bike and right now my average is 50.5. Check out the Versys on fuelly.com. Mine is the 2009 Dave's Versys.

I just bought an 09 with about 14,000 miles on it. My first tank I got 49.6 and that was with a lot of playing around. I have not checked since but I would assume it's went up a decent amount since I've been riding like you described.

I picked my 2011 in San Diego Saturday morning, put my 250lb, 6' 2" body on it, behind the enlarged windscreen. 200 miles at 85 MPH later, 47 MPG.

I average closer to 45, but I do a lot of city riding in the hills of San Francisco. When I only ride in The City I get less than 40.

I've only put around 1,000 miles on my '13. I've seen a best of 55mpg and worst of 48mpg.
