Just joined from south Houston

I'm bike shopping and one of the "suspects" is a new left over 2012 Versys. I'm hoping to learn enough here to help decide if this is the bike for me.

from San Antonio. The V is a very good all around bike. Enough go, good fuel mileage, not too heavy and handles nicely. More compact and nimble than a Wee Strom. I wouldn't call it a serious adventure bike however though it handles mild conditions rather well. My opinions only of course.

I would agree with Arion. Great all around bike it does everything from commuting to "mid-light" adventure very well. There are plenty of extras available for the Versys, and you could make into a dirt road blaster to a highway cruiser fairly easy. Honestly one of the best parts of the V is the wealth of knowledge and great community of people on here. Seriously any questions you have no matter how specific someone on here is bound to help you out. Good luck on your search. What other bikes you looking at?
