Hello. Just joined from Kansas City

Just joined and have not bought a bike yet but sat on the Versys this weekend so after months of sitting on different models of bikes - I have found the one!

Have never owned my own bike. Have always been the hot chick on the back. Was in a bike crash years ago and stayed away from bikes for a long time but no more! Took a class and got the M on my license. Yahoo!!!

Please tell me I am picking the right bike....need advice.

I've owned a lot of bikes and ridden in some of them as long as 24 hours straight. The Versys is a good looking bike that has a lot to offer a new rider and is also a good platform for the future if you want to add a trunk or other accessories.

I would note that fit is important. If it's a little too tall, get the seat modified or add a lowering kit. If the handlebars are too high or low, change the angle. There should be enough people here to provide advice.

I think this says it all! As far as the Versys being a good bike, I believe you're gonna get a biased response here. We all think the Versys is a great bike!

Welcome aboard, by the way!

Happy Motoring

You are on the right track.
Whatever your ride, get a hold of a resource like David Hough's book "Proficient Motorcycling" if you haven't anything but the MSF materials. You would find more tools and objectives for keeping the odds in your favor safety wise.
Happy Motoring.

It will be good to see another Versys around town.
I don't see too many around here (at least the Kansas side).
