Hello

Hey everyone,
I am not a Versys owner, but seriously looking at them. Wanted to get some info on them, and looking forward to see what you folks think about them. I am 6' 1" and need a taller seat height and sit straight up ergos. I currently own a '86 Kaw 454 LTD , it just lays back too far. I like the feel of a dirt bike where you can pull yourself off the seat easily.
I sat on one in my local dealer feels good . Would like to find a used one to test ride.

We pretty much universally love the V!

Ride To Live, Live To Ride....no, really!

How is the power on the V? Does it pull the front wheel up without much help, in 1st- 2nd? The 454 has about 50 BHP, so I'm guessing about the same maybe a little more torquey, only the V probably lighter in the front end?

Welcome, V is is 64Hp, if you know how to wheelie it will be no problems on the v, I ride with various different bikes and the little v can give all the R1, r6, busa, zx 10s zx 14s etc a darn good run for their money in twisty roads and even times on a track apart from long straights of course.

My first street bike was an 84/85 LTD700 back in 1989. Loved it at the time. Had several bikes since then but none as fun as the Versys.

Thank you for the welcomes and the info . I just read this article someone posted, it is very informative and nice to see they liked it. I have always liked Kawasaki . Had a KDX 250 in my late teens and loved it. Wish I had it back sometimes ! Posting the link to the article again .

Not much. Supposedly rubber engine mounts on the 2010+ to smooth out the vibes but a few members own both and say there are no differences. The 2014 USA model is available with ABS (not offered in the USA until now).
