Hide your credit cards in a block of ice in the freezer NOW!!
With that many miles on it Hopefully the PO did some modding to it already.

He kept it fairly stock, besides for lowering it a bit. I don't plan to do a lot to it, just adding a few trinkets..probably

Lots to do to a new to you bike, all the thing the previous owner might not have done: adust valves, plugs, change coolant/oil/brake fluid/fork oil.

You're going to find that the guys/gals that are responidng to you are a wealth of knowlege on V's. I got my 08 in August and it had less than 5,700 miles. I am starting to add a bunch of farkles and some upgrades and will add a list to my signature in the near future.

Whether you are new to biking or an old pro, how do you like the height and center of gravity. Even though many, expecailly cruiser guys I know who have their butts about 24" off the ground claim that the V's seems way to high, I am very pleased with the handling. My BMW cruiser friends think that the height is just right since they are used to being up in the air.

Have fun and make sure you look up Captain Kirk's message of locating yourself on the US V map.

Welcome , I wasn't going to add a bunch of mods to the bike until I road it and decided it was more capable then the reason I bought it, so the mods list got big, to this point I have motowerks handlebars risers, lowering kit,sw motec rear rack and pelican case kit, stible airharn, just received the highway pegs mounts from MW, I did a self installed set and well it didn't turn out well, also have the larger windshield with the airfoil on it, cant remember the name, most of the info I got on the things to get for the v came from this sight.
