Another Canuk signing in.

Hi all. Great forum. Plenty of useful information here. Already helped me with a decision on which of 3 bikes i am looking at. Versys, Wee-vee, Beemer (already out - too damn ugly). A local bike shop here in Toronto carries both Suzuki and Kawasaki - hope to test ride em both in the next couple of weeks. But from what i read and for the type of riding i typically do these days - i think the Versys is the best choice. Seems like the bike is relatively easy to tweek to improve both the ride and performance. The rider feedback is great - some of you gearheads really know your stuff - glad you are willing and patient enough to share it with others not so mechanically inclined. Stay safe.

So you are from C eh N eh D eh?

Well, the V in my opinion is a FANTASTIC bike for the money. I love communting with it and have toured with it (3000 miles in 8.5 days). So I can attest to its rideablity. I did however install a corbin seat before the big ride. Made a huge difference.

Pavlov, must have been out riding when you first signed on. I'm just a little north of you and just love my green Versys...even though it's in the garage at this point in time. Had the itch every year until this March past when I finally bit again after about 25 yrs. bike less. You won't be disappointed if you decide on the Versys. Keeping in mind it's not a liter-bike and back roads are where it's best to ride it. 7200.00 was about what I paid this spring, before tax and everything. Quebec dealers seem to sell for less...you may want to save some dinaros and shop around. I could have found a better deal myself but was unwilling to wait any longer.

Hi Pavlov: I am just down the road in London. Picked up a new 2009 in the summer for $7,000 out the door including taxes. Keep your eyes open as sometimes deals float by.
I have had several bikes, some costing about 3 times as much. None as much fun as the Versys. Put about 13,000 km since the mid summer. It is great machine!
