I originally planned on lowering mine (I'm 5'9", and have to tippy toe) but after getting used to it, I'm glad I didn't. I like riding tall.

Lowering kit

Since I am also new on here, I donot know if I can post to a thread for a couple of days, but should be able to send something to you. I am not flot footed, but close on my 2008. However, I was interested in a lowering kit just to see what it wold be like a couple of inches closer to the ground. However, when you install the lowering unit, doesn't that change the dynamics by lowering the rear only and keeping the front at the same height. If so, doesnt that make you more suseptable to power wheelies?

I put the lowering kit on mine to make it easier to get my bad leg over the seat. On Motowerks site it show you how to drop the front end also when you put on the lowering kit. I went back and put my front to the stock position i like it like that better.
