Kiwijim from New Zealand

Hi all,I am new to Forums and how they work, but This Kawasaki Versys Forum appears to be well received by all who participate. Thanks for letting me take part as well.

I own a 2007 Black and Silver Versys with 15000 Km on the clock and apart from the seat height, she goes very nice and it sure is good to play on.

I am semi retired and have been riding bikes for 62 years so have had many great machines from Nortons Triumphs BSA Matchless Suzuki Yamaha but this is the first Kawasaki and I think it is exhilarating, to say the least.

I am impressed with some of the modifications and ideas I have seen on this site also the distances you cover in a days outing, I am sure I will have questions of you in the future

Kind Regards
Jim

Welcome. From everything I have seen in videos and heard about New Zealand you have a motorcycling paradise. I'm envious!

Welcome, I have had the good fortune of spending 6 months in NZ in the 90's and I'd love to spend a few months touring the country on a motorbike. Hostels and campgrounds abound surrounded by the most breath taking scenery.

Moon Dust Gray Versys, with lots of farkles.

Vlast

P.S. I bought my Versys to support my photography hobby.

Hi Jim
nice to know a fellow kiwi is here on this Verseys forum. I have had my bike for 11 months and clocked up 18500km on it. I just love it as it is so new to me after being off Motorcycles for 28years. I hope to do the 1000km ride in one day in November and also get down to the Bert Monroe memorial events.
I joined up with the Ulysses club which is good value spending time with like minded people.

Fellow members, Thank you for your welcome to this Forum,I agree with all your comments, New Zealand is a very nice place to call home, and although small on your standards, we seem to do ok on the World stage.

We also have some good Rugby players, and everyone has to get beaten sometimes, always a winner and a loser, so Go the All Blacks, and the Springboks.

I just fitted the Lowering kit from Speedy, he must have got his name for the service he provides, and this is a great product, it has certainly transformed my bike. I took it into the local Kawasaki dealer today, he was amazed at what he saw, complete with the stand and mirror extn's, so thanks for the help from all of you who had made comments about these products in the Forum. Thank you all again
Kind regards Jim

Welcome Jim. Man would love to make a trip to NZED! See a conflict already though, don't know what I would do first, ride or surf. I've been trapped in Texas sure would love to hit the eject button to your neck of the woods. Again welcome great site you'll learn allot.

Hi Hammer, Nothing more dangerous than a Springbok licking his wounds, they will bounce back like the proverbial. This game has been sold out for a while so it will be the armchair and Tele for me. I live only a short trip 15 minutes from the stadium. We are expecting rain or showers so that may level things up some.
Still impressed with the info on this Forum,a real good deal, take care out there

Regards Jim

Hi Matt, Never sell the Versys, only out of my cold dead hands maybe.

I may be interested in those bits if they are still available
