Post UK Commuter still loving Versys 650 25k miles and 21 months on

I do 102 miles per day, 4 days per week regular as clockwork 52 weeks per year. Journey covers urban, rural bendy, motorway. Had to give up last winter at -4C when ice on visor built up faster than even heated gloves could manage.

Versys takes it all and still giving.

User manual is pretty basic.

Thumbs up

Hi from a fellow Brit.
I've never rode the roads down by Worthing, but I imagine it's a very nice route you get to take to work.

Keep us updated on all things UK mate!!!

The Kawi "Service Manual" is very useful. There's a link here to download a copy on this site, or every so often someone puts one up for sale. (I have an '08 and an '09, and have TWO "2010 Versys ABS Service Manuals", and they've been GREAT!)

Thanks for all the welcomes!

It's very challenging just now as lots of floods and standing water everywhere. Just put in a couple of Philips X-treme Vision headlight bulbs and they make a big difference to being able to ride within my range of vision after dark.

My experience regarding headlights (TWO Vs, an '08 and '09) is that they are very poorly aligned from the factory. It's taken awhile, but BOTH are now properly aligned, enabling me to ride at night (which I do as seldom as possible!) up to about 70 mph within the range of my lights. My "cut-off" is right at the top of the trunk of cars I'm behind.
