Merry Christmas to all! I have had my 2009 Verysys now for three years. I bought my Blue Versys in October of 2011. I drove 550 miles from Central Point, Oregon to Clarkston, Idaho (550 miles one way) to pick it up. I am glad I found the Versys. It has taken a couple of years for me to learn to comfortably ride this bike as I am fairly new to motorcycling. Four years ago, I had a midlife desire to learn to ride motorcycles. This desire was out of character for me, as I grew up in a family of Doctors very opposed to motorcycling. I just felt I needed an adventure and a personal growth challenge. Riding has become very addicting! I started on smaller bikes ( Honda 110 and a Yamaha TW200) and took the motorcycle riding course. The instruction was invaluable and taught me the proper respect for riding. Over the past year, I have rode to the Oregon Coast, rode over to Klamath Falls, and rode around Crater Lake. Oregon is full of twisty and challenging motorcycles roads. I encourage any Versys owner to make a trip to Oregon and enjoy the beautiful and varied scenery. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in riding in Southern Oregon. If I am not out my Versys, I also enjoy riding my Yamaha XT 250 on numerous logging roads. It is a great and economical way to explore the outdoors.
Thank you for sharing your experiences on this forum. It makes my day to read about all the opportunities to explore and amazing discussions created through our shared interests in the Versys and motorcycling in general.
Have a safe and properous 2014!
