Hello hello!

Hey there,

I just joined this forum though I have surfed through a couple of times (I copied Capn Kirk's 12v installation for e.g.).

I have a Red 2011 which I bought brand new a couple of months back (I got a fantastic deal). Its not my first bike, but its my first bike in this country.

I have done 800 miles so far and I love it so far. I love its do-it-all spirit (which is why I got this bike). I live in Brooklyn and would love to connect with Versters ().

I live in Manhattan. I've only seen a handful of Versys' around the city. Glad to hear the number is going up!

Wow! That was quick! Good to know that there are keyed-in members in the NYC area

[QUOTE=brkln_brownstoner;474681]Thanks guy. Do all of you guys ride through the year? I.e. through snow?

I ride 365 days a year, barring any days with real snow on the ground or ice conditions. I find the versys to be the ultimate NYC all weather commuter.

I try to ride whenever it's dry, regardless of temperature. Here that means about once per week if I'm lucky for the next 6 months. But it also means that I don't have to put the bike in storage and its fluids get to circulate once in a while.

Hey, i am new here too, i think by looking at your bike i know exactly where you got it Prospect Power sports on coney island? 2011 left over right ?

People are more violently opposed to fur than leather because it's safer to harass rich women than motorcycle gangs.

Actually I got it from a dealer in long island! It was a left over 2011 and he gave me a great deal on it.

I don't plan to put the bike in storage either. I don't enough time in the saddle because of the nature of my work. But somedayyyyy.... I plan to leave it all and ride cross country.
