New 2013 owner - Orlando, FL

Hey guys, I just bit the bullet on a '13 Versys in blue. Big smile on my face for the 15mile ride home, wished there was less traffic. I havn't seen any Versys in Orlando (and there are a LOT of bikes here), so I am glad to have something different. Can't wait to start putting some miles on this baby. If there is anyone from around the area get in touch and maybe we can ride some time!

Quick question - what is the little black tube that hangs down below the motor where the side stand is? Only thing I can't figure out!

Talk about a quick reply! I've been lurking for a couple months now on these forums and found all the information very helpful in picking out this bike. Very happy with the purchase so far! Thanks for the info!

Welcome... bennett.
Lots of straight roads in our state... it takes some doing to find twistys... but then again, we can ride year round.

Thanks guys! I agree, I can't wait to do some rides up north (we can hit some mountains in 8 hours or so!) I have a place to stay just north of Atlanta.

Here is a pic of the new beauty!

Also, for those of you guys who recently bought a new bike or are planning on it, PLEASE PLEASE do not wait until 600miles to change the oil. I changed mine at 56miles and found tons of metal shavings, most small specs, a couple larger pieces. Kawi filter caught most/all of the tiny pieces, the larger ones came out when I pulled plug, guessing they were heavy enough to just sit on the bottom thankfully. Its all messed up cause I had to use the screwdriver method to get it off but here is a pic of the original filter cut open.
