2007 Burnt Orange Versys

Hi, my name Richard Shantz from Waterloo Ontario Canada. My ride is a used 2007 model, was going to buy a new one but delivery to my dealer was slow and In the meantime I found this used Versys at a local bike show the end of April. I plan on touring with this bike during the summer, just ordered the Givi bags and have been reading the post about the different touring windscreens, I will order one shortly. I love this bike, have driven V twins in the past, I wanted something different, there are so many cruisers, this bike stands out in the crowd. Thanks for a great site.

Shantz in K/W, name sounded familar, took me a while but I remember a Stan Shantz from K/W that I attended trade school with in the mid 1980s at George Brown in TO (Casa Loma campus).
Again welcome aboard.

Shantz - a good Mennonite name. But hey, shouldn't your ride be black?

Welcome to the forum.

Yes it is a Mennonite name, very common here in Kitchener Waterloo. When do the Versys Ontario Motorcyling Team rides take place, haven't found anything on this subject, maybe I missed it?

V.o.m.i.t

Hi Richard,
We have not been out for a group ride yet.
My wife and I just started riding last fall. We are hoping to get together with some fellow forum members soon.
We were going to get together with forum member Randy Desjardins of Hanover this weekend but he is out of town.

Muskie, Please let me know when you have a ride arranged, hopefully I can make it, I really want to compare notes with fellow Versys riders, looking to add more accessories but need more info. Where in Bruce County are you, I spend some time in the summer at Port Elgin, also my brother in law has a cottage at Pike Bay. I am picking up my Givi bags on Thursday. Thanks.

I'm in for a group ride also. I haven't seen to many ather V's around so it would be a great idea for VOMIT to be seen!
