Just got a Green one

Hello,

A few days ago I got a Green Versys. I have not been on a bike in 20 years. So far it is a blast. I almost got a Vulcan 900, but I don't like the riding position of the cruzers and my back is too old for a crotch rocket.

I need to take the intermediate riding course just to remember everything I forgot!

As much as I don't like full face helmets, my wife "talked" me into it.

What's up with the Harley crowd these days? Do they still hate Japanese bikes?
I can't tell a Harley from any other V-Twin unless I see the badging.

Welcome NYGreen...Smart choice on the course and good ridin to ya...The Harley guys...I think its always been and "us vs them" attitude...Or they just can't clear their noodles after those twins have vibrated all their fillings loose

If I new what I was doing, I wouldn't still be working

Congrats and Welcome

Congratulations on getting your new green ride. Those green V's are the sharpest color, in my humble opinion. I've got a red '08, but I was just at the local dealership today, lusting after a green model.

We all might be a tad biased on this site, but I really think you will enjoy your Versys. It is a bike that grows on you with each ride. After many rides, you'll come to a deeper appreciation of what a good machine these bikes really are. Welcome to the site.

I just went thru a traffic circle (a.k.a Roundabout) for the first time ever. They can be a pain in car. It was real tricky holding the proper radius of the turn.

4000 RPMs ... I need to get to 600 miles quickly! My left hand is getting tired of all that shifting.
