Hi, looking to fix a Versys up

Hi, looking to fix a Versys up, in FL, it's a 2008 model. It's your basic road rash, sadly, both sides, and the bike only has 3752 miles on it. Hope the forum has some posts with plastic repairs on it! Glad to be here.

sadly, almost always better to remove or replace plastic than try to repair it...
Check out JDRocks threads on this forum and ADVrider to see what you can do with the basic Ninja-E6n-Versys platform.

The best stuff to fix plastics is with a product called Plastex. See their cheesy video on youtube. The stuff is expensive for a kit but really works as advertised. The problem is once you've fixed the cracks and broken tabs, etc. with Plastex, you still have to get a smooth surface with body filler, sand it, prime it, base coat and then clear coat. This is expensive and time consuming if you want a professional quality job. Unless you have a lot of damaged panels, it can often be cheaper just to buy replacement panels are already in the right color and ready to install.
