Hello 2nd & engine guard question

As stated in my 1st post, I am here for my brother who just bought a 08 Versys. I am a biker and more of a wrench turner then he is. He will be dropping the bike off next weekend for me to look over (lived 3 hours away) He would like for me to install a engine guard. I see the H&B, Givi, & S&W.

Any pros or cons would be great.
TIA

I have the H/B's and have no complaints. I was hit by a car and the crash bars took a direct hit. Little damage to the bike. I had 2 fractures in the right leg and a fractured left wrist. Some scrapes on the bars that were touched up with some paint. Then a drop and just broke a clutch lever and again a small scrape on the bars.

IIRC, Givi is the lightest of those 3. I chose Kappa, which as I understand is the Givi bars at a lower price.
