Hello

My brother just bought a 08 Versys. I ride a Honda Shadow Aero. I am more of a wrench turner then he is. I joined up so I can learn more about his bike and questions if I need to.

Oh wow! Don't ride his Versys if you want to keep your Honda. I rode cruisers for 20 years and did not know what I was missing. The Versys is so much easier to ride and tons more fun. Nice of you to help out your brother!

Get the service and user manuals. Kawasaki bikes are very straight forward to work with, mostly Allen wrenches and sockets. You will need a few speciality tools for non routine work, such as working on the forks and removing the wheel or triple tree.

Other than that the most annoying thing compares to a cruiser is that you have to remove the fairings for most work on the bike. Yet a lot less than with a track bike.

+1 That's what I had the Honda Shadow Aero. Be warned! You will never go back!
