up and comming versys rider from Cali.

Looking to get a Versys soon. My DRZ400SM has served me very well, but ive grown tired of brutal freeway characteristics. Just wanted to say hello, and had a couple of questions about the bike. Seems I need to post a few times here before hand.
I live out here in the bay area, where theres plenty of great roads to explore. Looking forward to some riding comfort and bring the wifey.

I too came from a DRZ400SM. Mine was stolen, and I wound up on the Versys. Couldn't be happier! You'll find that mostly all the things that annoyed you about the DRZ are remedied with the V. Enjoy!

I also had the DRZ SM which was stolen a few years ago then went to a 650 V-Strom, then the 650 Versys, now the 1000 versys.
The 650 Versys has the fun factor of the SM but just better in every way (highway manners, power, longer range) you'd really enjoy it.

Welcome. The Versys is a great all round bike, the best available at the price IMO. It's an even better bike IMO with some basic accessories like crash bars, an after market windshield and maybe some hard bags.
